THE HUNGER BANK
The Hunger Bank is the first non-governmental organization in Indonesia who works simultaneously in reducing food waste and reducing the number of hunger in society. The Hunger Bank was founded by the graduates of International Relations of Parahyangan University, Bandung, in the year of 2016. Our core values lie in the importance of giving back to the society and achieving a sustainable development goals.
Every year, there are approximately 1.3 trillion tons of food which goes to waste, meanwhile there are still 925 millions people starving to find food. Both food waste issue and hunger crisis are permanent issues that can only be solved by a sustainable initiative. Thus, Hunger Bank would like to minimize the number of food waste by giving away a decent food for people who are still starving. We believe that people's habit of wasting food should be substituted by a habit of donations and charity.
Our mission is clear: to have a world without hunger.

Zero Waste campaign aims to accustom a habit where people stop wasting food, calculating their needs, and arranging their spending so that no food will end up in trash.
